When Fox introduced the reality, dance competition show, a dancing sensation was spread all around.
So you think you can dance, sets off on the same base as American Idol. Contestants through out American are called upon stage to dance along side partners to various dance styles. The US version of ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘ will be going into its 9th season and the audition dates has been announced. Nigel Lythgo was reported to have said that the auditions will be holding in the early part of next year.
The audition will be taken place in five states in the US. The States are California, Texas, Utah, New Jersey and Georgia.
He used his twitter account to give a detailed break down of the dates. On the 5th of January, Atlanta will be hosting the auditions at the FOX theatre. They would be moving to the McFarlin Memorial Auditorium in Dallas, Texas where the next audition will take place of the 13th of January.
On the 23rd of January, it would be the turn of New York City at the Manhattan Centre. They will then take a month hiatus before the next audition in Capitol Theatre at the Salt Lake City on the 23rd of February. The final audition will be talking place on the 2nd March in Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theatre.
The show was renewed as expected for the 9th season early in the year. At the official renewal, Mike Darnell President of Fox lauded the reality dance show and its success saying it has contributed to their own success.
Melanie Moore was the winner of the season 8th of the competition. She won the prize money of $250,000 and an opportunity to appear in the cover of Dance Spirit magazine.
